Americas Project Specialist

Responsibilities

Review customer requests and collaborate with sales, marketing, and PLM teams to develop pricing strategies for individual opportunities, balancing revenue and profit requirements when evaluating opportunities and creating proposed responses
Understand and enforce distribution policies, such as registration and channel preferences, for each opportunity
Ensure the bid is completed in the format and by the time specified in the customer RFQ; verify the correct Bill of Materials/part number list; document pricing strategy and decisions for future use
Broker agreements with members of the sales and PLM teams
Create actual prices for quotes while evaluating the profitability of each quote and the total proposal
Incorporate standard costs and additional items, such as cost-to-serve (e.g., freight, duties, payment terms), to ensure a complete profitability picture
Evaluate prices against established price levels to determine when escalations are required; obtain escalation approvals and/or adjust proposals to fit within established levels
Capture competitive price intelligence for future use and leverage existing data for specific opportunities to maximize win probability while optimizing profitability
Understand the competitive environment for specific opportunities now and in the future to determine strategies and tactics that maximize the probability of success while ensuring profitability

Required

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, Product Line Management
Operate independently, typically with minimal supervision

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize to meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to drive consensus across multiple parts of the organization
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with customers
