Responsibilities

Manage the processing of a high volume of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) imaging to sophisticated archival and secure retrieval protocols. Drive the digital transformation of Finance documentation
Lead the research and development of technical solutions to resolve systemic bottlenecks. Conduct root-cause analysis, perform gap analysis on existing workflows, update documentation, and retrain impacted staff
Administer and support the Finance subsystems OpenInvoice. Manage user permissions, module configuration, and the troubleshooting of system issues
Support the Finance end-user in their daily functions, including desktop and application support and troubleshooting. Serve as the technical lead for finance-specific application environments
Acquire and implement new technology and equipment for finance users
Assist with high-level data processing for Labor Cost Distributions (LCD) and conduct complex reconciliations
Conduct complex reconciliations of cashiering and eMarket data streams to ensure fiscal ledger accuracy
Initiate conversations about system, policy, or procedural issues with systems
Technical consultant for Finance projects and lead cross-departmental initiatives to align system capabilities with institutional policy
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

A high school diploma and 4 years of IT experience
Knowledge of Financial processes
Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
Active California driver's license and ability to drive
Ability to troubleshoot front-end and back-end system issues and coordinate with IT to resolve
Normal mobility and ability to periodically lift and carry objects weighing as much as 40 pounds, including up and down stairs
Proficient with Adobe, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), G Suite, and general desktop computer applications

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Familiarity with Pepperdine and its culture
Experience with Business Process Re-engineering -Knowledge with Etrieve, Kofax, or Nolij
Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft/Oracle) and other financial systems
