The Power Plant Engineering Intern will support critical engineering projects in an industrial power generation environment, gaining hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical systems and collaborating with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
Support installation of a Control Room Annunciator Panel, including system integration tasks
Assist with field termination activities, such as wiring, labeling, and verifying electrical connections
Support machine guarding compliance projects for maintenance shops and hand tooling equipment
Assist with process equipment enhancements, including evaluating mechanical risks and recommending improvements
Participate in engineering project planning, documentation, and implementation tasks
Conduct field assessments, gather technical data, and support troubleshooting activities
Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and operational staff to ensure project success
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a degree program in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electrical or Mechanical focus)
Interest in industrial power plant systems, equipment, and engineering practices
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work safely in industrial environments
Effective communication and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
Attention to detail, especially in field assessments and documentation
Willingness to learn and contribute to hands‑on engineering activities
Preferred
Coursework or exposure related to electrical systems, mechanical systems, industrial safety, or equipment design
Familiarity with engineering documentation, schematics, drawings, or technical standards
