InternUnion Bank & Trust is seeking a Business Development Intern to support various initiatives at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. The intern will build relationships, participate in events, lead marketing initiatives, and manage budgets while gaining experience across different banking divisions.
Financial Services
Responsibilities
Support new and current relationships within the UNL community of faculty, staff, administration and student population
Attend monthly UNL new employee orientation events
Attend internal and external business meetings and networking events
Participate in the planning and execution of all New Student Enrollment events including daily info sessions and parent sprint session presentations
Assist in all marketing initiatives including Welcome Back Events and Homecoming Sponsorship
Co-facilitate financial literacy presentations at UNL participant’s request
Assist in reviewing and monitoring monthly budgets
Assist in focusing on deposit and loan portfolio growth
Rotate amongst the following departments to gain an understanding of their divisions including Ag Loans, Mortgage Loans, Commercial Loans, and Credit
Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required
Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
Qualification
Required
Currently taking classes toward a Bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Valid Nebraska Driver's License
