Facility Maintenance Program Manager 1/2

The Facility Maintenance Program Manager will ensure the reliability and compliance of facility equipment while providing technical guidance and participating in maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities
Play a vital role in safeguarding the Laboratory's mission by ensuring the reliability and compliance of facility equipment across LANL facilities
Provide technical guidance and field-based support to ensure safe, effective, and code-compliant facility equipment maintenance
Author and maintain preventative maintenance instructions that are practical, compliant, and effective for field execution
Support workforce qualification and training initiatives
Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance efforts, as well as new project development related to systems
Develop and present performance metrics that communicate program health, efficiency, and continuous improvement opportunities to management
Qualification
Required
Entry-level knowledge of and experience with program management of technical or operational work, including defining program work scope, schedules, budgets, priorities, and performance milestones; developing cost, scope, and schedule baselines; reporting cost and schedule variance; and managing change control and risk
Entry-level knowledge of the technical or operational discipline of the assigned portfolio(s)
Entry-level knowledge of regulatory and/or Laboratory requirements related to programmatic work of assigned portfolio(s)
Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Teams, with the ability to effectively manage project documentation and communication
Experience in interacting effectively with all levels of personnel, building trust, gaining consensus, and resolving conflicts
Experience in developing and nurturing effective customer relationships
Position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Preferred
Working knowledge of testing, maintenance, and inspection procedures for maintenance systems to include generators, fire protection, pumps, and HVAC systems
Experience with general troubleshooting of systems and components
Demonstrated ability to write and maintain preventative maintenance instructions that are practical, compliant, and field-ready
Working knowledge of P-950 and AP-Work documents related to the planning and execution of maintenance activities
Willingness to maintain a strong field presence, actively engaging with craft, superintendents, and customers to ensure high-quality maintenance delivery
Demonstrated ability to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance decision-making, efficiency, and problem-solving
Strong initiative and commitment to professional growth, with a desire to pursue ongoing technical training and continuous learning opportunities
Active Q clearance
Position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
NICET certifications in fire protection and Manufacture training certificates in Generator maintenance are desirable
