Responsibilities
Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to ensure a ‘safety first’ working environment
Lead, train, and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence and maintain high levels of employee engagement
Oversee inventory counts and control the processes which minimize out-of-stocks and eliminate variances
Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resources to stay within financial targets
Maintain accurate records and reports to aid, support, and guide operational decision-making
Monitor and review operational processes to minimize errors, eliminate waste, and increase efficiency
Ensure customer requirements are met by overseeing daily operations and ensuring on-time delivery every day
Oversee the maintenance and reliability of the fleet to prevent operational disruptions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, or appropriate level of experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in distribution or logistics
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in operations management software and tools
Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Willing to ensure customer requirements are met as defined under KPIs
