Responsibilities
Serve as IT project manager for assigned projects and IT deliverables
Manage projects from initiation through closure to achieve defined outcomes
Define and document project scope, charter, resources, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables
Establish and manage project meeting cadence to ensure timelines and objectives are met
Track project milestones, risks, issues, and task assignments while maintaining team accountability
Escalate project issues in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders
Prepare project agendas, meeting notes, status updates, and reports
Close projects in an orderly manner, documenting lessons learned and final deliverables
Maintain an accurate master IT project list
Prepare project-related presentations and supporting materials for leadership meetings
Collaborate with IT management and the project management office to develop and standardize project methodologies
Qualification
Required
PMP certification
Strong understanding of information technology concepts, terminology, and standards
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work activities effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead, influence, and manage stakeholder relationships
Project management experience managing IT initiatives
Experience managing enterprise-level IT projects
Experience with IT service management platforms
Experience with project budgeting and financial tracking
Bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, information technology, or a related field
Preferred
Experience managing system modernization initiatives
Experience working with public sector or state agencies
Experience collaborating with external vendors
