Responsibilities

Learn and apply Air Products’ safety standards, high‑voltage safety practices, and commissioning procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to implement standardized work processes and industry best practices
Support development of electrical construction packages, commissioning strategies, and documentation for work planning
Assist in training and mentoring activities within the Air Products Q‑EC (qualified electrical commissioning) and instrument technician competency programs
Support planning and coordination of FATs, equipment acceptance testing, pre‑commissioning, energization, and functional testing activities alongside senior staff
Develop foundational understanding of high‑voltage energy isolation procedures (HVEIC), switching, and removal of isolations

Required

Minimum of 5 years (total) of high voltage electrical field, design, and engineering experience
An Electrical Engineering degree is required
Proven experience with electrical construction management, inspection, electrical acceptance testing, electrical commissioning & functional testing, and equipment energization
Familiar with instrument construction management, instrument acceptance testing (loop checking), instrument and controls commissioning, functional testing, and validation, and equipment energization
Proven record of success in safety, environmental, quality and employee involvement
Strong dedication to employee involvement, leadership, team building and diversity
Approximately 35-60% travel to active sites, projects, and equipment inspections/FATs

Preferred

Early‑career engineer with foundational knowledge in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or controls
Strong interest in industrial electrical construction, commissioning, and developing leadership capabilities
Exposure to or interest in industrial sectors such as gases, oil & gas, power, chemical, or similar process industries
Commitment to safety, quality, technical learning, and professional growth
