Principal Software Developer/Engineer

Responsibilities

Maintaining optimization code in the GAMS language
Keeping documentation and configuration control up to date
Working with NPTU personnel and other NTS units to ensure models accurately reflect real-world conditions
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify improvements and modernize the TCM product
Leading efforts to use data analytics to provide insights that improve Training Program management

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
All candidates must be U.S. citizens
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
FMP is a government contractor and maintains a drug free workplace and workforce
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred

Experience executing the Training Program in a supervisory role such as Nuclear Plant Engineer (NPE) or Crew Training Engineer (CTE)
Experience or strong interest in learning optimization modeling and applied mathematical models
Proficiency with software engineering processes and principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple organizations
