Developmental Disabilities Service District Administrator - Omaha
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a charismatic individual to join their leadership team as a DD Service District Administrator. This role involves overseeing the administration and organization of Service Coordination teammates within a designated Services District, supervising multiple Service Coordination Supervisors and ensuring effective service delivery for individuals receiving services.

Responsibilities
Assist with hiring, training, and coaching
Assist in developing, interpreting, implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and regulations
Act as a liaison with Medicaid providers, families, or stakeholders
Manage work schedules, task assignments, performance, and leave requests
Direct, monitor and evaluate the work of your team by providing indirect oversight of 50-70 Service Coordinators and approximately 1300 individuals receiving services
Assist with hiring, training, and coaching Service Coordination teammates
Plan, organize, and direct, establishing program objectives, strategies, policies, procedures, and priorities
Develop and implement policies and procedures in response to changing program needs, enhancing service delivery and program operations
Develop and implement quality enhancement policies at the District level, evaluating performance against goals and identifying action plans for improvement
Consult with Administrator II for Service Coordination Operations and DDD Deputy Directors regarding service coordination needs and issues
Establish collaborative relationships with participants of waiver services and their guardians, providers, advocacy entities, and community organizations to enhance the continuum of care
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in social work, business administration, public administration, human development, human services, behavioral health, law, special education, quality/project management or other closely related field AND two years of supervisory experience in developmental or intellectual disabilities program and services
OR a Master's degree in any of the above mentioned fields
Possess a valid driver's license and have immediate access to a reliable vehicle
Preferred
Experience supervising and leading teammates, facilitating, and presenting in meetings, and engaging in difficult conversations
Experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, Nfocus and Therap
Knowledge of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waivers, specifically the two DD HCBS Waivers, the Aged and Disabled (AD) Waiver, and the Traumatic Brian Injury (TBI) Waiver
Program knowledge of Targeted Case Management and Service Coordination responsibilities and functions
