Responsibilities

Develop and maintain PFMEA and control plans throughout the life cycle of a process. Use PFMEA to identify potential failures, their effects, and implement preventive actions
Own disposition of defective equipment by developing metrics and maintain a quarantine cage
Drive the resolution of issues identified
Manage the process/product quality audit program. Document audit findings and ensure proper corrective actions are taken
Define and own the quality metrics reported daily to the leadership team. Ensure the metrics are accurate, relevant, and drive continuous improvement
Perform root cause analysis on customer issues, provide effective corrective actions and drive them to completion
Manage change management requests and obtain approvals from appropriate stakeholders
Serve as the primary quality contact on the production floor. Communicate relevant quality-related details at the start and end of each shift
Assist in and facilitate process improvement initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and support
Assist in the roll-out of new processes and equipment by performing quality inspections and trial runs
Own and develop standard policies and procedures for processes within operations. Ensure SOPs are up-to-date and followed consistently
Review quality metrics and identify spike in deployment errors at one of the sites
Communicate quality priorities and own the quarantine cage
Facilitate root cause analysis meeting on customer-reported failures and assign corrective actions with clear ownership
Present capacity forecast models and scaling strategy for upcoming volume increase to leadership team
Plan and design for new fulfillment centers, establish site requirements, design layouts and implement processes
Approve change request for tools and coordinate deployment timeline with engineering tech team
Update PFMEA documentation for new product onboarding, adding preventive controls for identified failure modes
Mentor junior engineers on SOP development best practices and review their work
Analyze operational bottleneck data and own continuous improvement

Required

4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
Experience working with and managing third party vendors

Preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level
