DCGS Technical Writer Senior

They are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support the AF DCGS Program at Robins AFB, GA, responsible for creating and managing technical documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across materials, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet publication standards.

Responsibilities
Obtaining, analyzing, and selecting the pertinent information
Determining the most logical and effective sequence of the narrative
Determining the overall length and tone based on the objectives, medium, and audience
Writing material
Consulting on or selecting illustrative material
Preparing the material for publication
Write technical direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, and marketing specifications
Meet with customer representatives, vendors, system engineers, and PMs to establish technical specifications
Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples
Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals
Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts
Ensure document contents follow required formats
Write clear and concise policies and procedures
Ensure consistency of wording among multiple documents
Create table of contents and cite sources
Submit copies to managers for feedback
Maintain electronic library or all signed documents and final presentations
Provide updates and different editions as necessary
Qualification
Required
Technical writing experience within the DoD relative to information and/or business systems environment
Excellent writing skills and strong command of the English language, including grammar
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Experience in MS Office software, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint required, experience in MS Project and MS Access
Ability to maintain professional appearance
MA/MS with 12 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience Or
BA/BS with 15 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience Or
Certifications with 20 years programmatic experience with 8 years DoD experience
Must be able to brief to Tec top government leadership, have excellent written and verbal communication skill sets
Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation
Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required
Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE?
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits
