Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable application platform solutions that power Guidewire’s cloud offerings
Drive the adoption of AI, and cloud capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and measurable customer value
Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new products, enhance platform reliability, and improve service compliance and security
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and customer-centricity within the team
Manage projects that accelerate the delivery of transformative features, including GenAI integration and advanced automation
Champion proactive security practices and operational improvements to meet compliance and reliability targets
Support the professional growth of your team through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
Demonstrated Java mastery and strong object-oriented design skills
Proven experience architecting cloud applications, preferably cloud-native, on modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Demonstrated experience working with AI systems, including integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production software or platforms
Proven experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform or enterprise software environments
Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform security
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing team culture
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with AI/ML integration, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale platform operations
Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus
