Responsibilities

Manage complex cross-functional infrastructure programs with significant business impact
Define program strategy (mission, vision, tenets) and drive delivery across multiple teams
Own organizational roadmaps, contribute to OP1/OP2 planning, and manage organizational goals
Make data-driven decisions using metrics to quantify improvements
Write and present effective narratives (6-pagers, PR/FAQs) to directors and VPs
Build consensus when facing conflicting viewpoints
Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
Mentor others and provide constructive feedback, including Tech promotion assessments
Apply technical program management best practices
Streamline processes and eliminate dependencies that hinder innovation
Reduce exposure to common failure modes (unclear requirements, poor collaboration, security gaps)
Ensure programs align with organizational objectives through regular metric reviews

Required

5+ years of technical program management experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs
3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
Experience with program management tools (SPM, MS Project) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)

Preferred

7+ years of technical program management experience
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
5+ years of leading large complex programs experience
Experience working with and managing third party vendors
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience leading process improvements
Experience managing programs in fulfillment, logistics, or transportation technology domains
Experience with Amazon's OP1/OP2 planning processes and writing 6-pagers/PR/FAQs
Deep knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, end-user computing, or related technologies
Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior program managers
