Responsibilities
Answers telephone calls from multi-line phone system or switchboard
Screens calls, takes messages and directs callers to the appropriate individual if needed
Greets and directs visitors/patients to the appropriate department/staff
Answers questions/inquires from the public or patients
Sorts mail and/or performing other general office functions
Uses a paging system
Qualification
Required
Minimum of one (1) year of previous clerical/secretarial work experience in an office setting
High School Diploma or equivalent
Answers multi-line/switchboard telephone calls promptly, takes detailed messages and transfers calls to appropriate parties
Greets visitors courteously and notifies staff immediately upon arrival of their guest/customers
Physical: Lifting 20-50 lbs
Activities: Prolonged sitting
Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading
Emotional: Fast pace environment, Able to handle multiple priorities, Frequent and intense customer interactions, Able to adapt to frequent change
Preferred
Two (2) years of previous clerical/secretarial work experience in an office setting
Previous experience in a health care setting
