Senior Analyst / Associate, Structured Finance

The Senior Analyst / Associate in Structured Finance will play a crucial role in originating, structuring, and monitoring asset-backed exposures, collaborating with various stakeholders to support the transaction lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Assist Deal Directors in the origination and structuring of new structured finance transactions
Prepare compelling marketing materials for prospective clients, showcasing HSBC’s capabilities and solutions
Build and run complex financial models using Excel and specialized software (CAS, Intex, etc.), ensuring alignment with HSBC best practices
Analyze client asset data and transaction performance, providing actionable insights to deal teams
Support regulatory returns, portfolio management, and transaction monitoring
Conduct documentation research and analysis under the guidance of senior team members
Review periodic performance data received from clients, identifying trends and potential risks
Ensure strict adherence to all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures
Undertake activities as directed by your line manager or as agreed in annual objectives, supporting the development of the Structured Finance business
Liaise with internal teams (Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Legal, Loan Agency, Accounting, Product Control) to provide timely and accurate information
Build relationships across Capital Markets & Advisory, the wider banking group, and Structured Finance teams in other regions
Address client queries related to existing transactions, new execution, and ad-hoc projects
Demonstrate strong teamwork and adaptability, collaborating with colleagues and client representatives
Provide training and guidance to analysts and interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing
Share information, ideas, and best practices to ensure a cohesive and informed team environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; advanced degree or CFA a plus
Fundamental experience in structured finance, investment banking, or related financial services
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with CAS, Intex, or similar platforms preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Licenses 7, 79 and 63
