Qualification
Required
A BS degree in journalism, communications, or related field (preferred) and/or equivalent experience
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Demonstrate strong news judgment and ability to identify stories that will drive traffic
A deep passion for/knowledge of celebrity, pop culture, and celebrity fashion is essential
Interested in ideating unique and strategic takes on the news that will help to engage and grow the InStyle audience
Comfortable covering red carpets, awards shows, and other live events
Thrive in a fast-paced news environment and work well under pressure with flexibility
Display strong professionalism
Familiarity and interest in using data and metrics like Looker, Google Analytics, Chartbeat, and Parse.ly, to help inform coverage
Familiarity with CMS systems
Familiarity with SEO best practices, Google Trends, etc
Expected to work occasional weekends and off-hours as needed for tentpole award shows
