Preparing roadway and drainage plans and specifications
Performing and reviewing design and hydraulic calculations
Developing cost estimates
Supporting project management efforts
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, agency partners, and clients
Contributing to technical decision‑making
Helping mentor junior staff
Participating in client meetings
Occasional field observations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program
6–10 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, including DOT and/or municipal roadway projects
Demonstrated experience in enclosed storm sewer drainage design, including hydraulic analysis, plan development, and coordination with roadway design
Proficiency with roadway and drainage design software such as Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Nebraska, or ability to obtain reciprocity within a reasonable timeframe
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, agency partners, and multidisciplinary teams
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to project delivery, technical problem‑solving, and mentoring of junior staff
