Training & Development Manager
American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Training & Development Manager to oversee all functions of the Honda Federal Credit Union Training Department. The role involves developing and implementing training curricula, assessing staff skills, and ensuring successful onboarding and training initiatives to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Direct systems used to develop, manage, and deliver training. Improve system efficiencies and evaluate internal and external training and development strategies
Assess associates’ skills, performance, and productivity to identify development needs. Identify and assess organizational training needs through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with managers. Support career development and succession planning. Oversee the development and execution of training curriculum and monitor completion
Provide new hire onboarding, orientation, and training. Deliver HFCU orientation and coordinate department-specific training curriculum. Partner with HR and Compliance to complete required employment paperwork
Provide coaching and counseling to training department staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Engage with associates by listening, answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving situations using sound judgment while fostering goodwill
Develop and achieve department goals, budgets, and objectives aligned with HFCU’s annual strategic plan. Regularly report variances and provide explanations to HFCU’s Executive Team
Review procedures to ensure accuracy and relevancy. Coordinate procedural and database updates with subject matter experts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field
Or Credit Union or training-specific certifications such as Certified Training Professional, CUDE, CCUE, or a related designation
8–10 years of experience in training, learning and development, or retail operations within a financial institution
2+ years of people management experience
Ability to organize and effectively direct subordinates
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all career levels
Experience creating training programs and evaluating training curriculum effectiveness
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Critical thinking skills with innovative problem-solving abilities
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Ability to read, assess, and interpret financial journals, regulatory releases, and financial reports
