Travel
Responsibilities
Responsible for schedule integrity and daily operation of SkyWest Airlines flights to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and consideration of economic factors
Cancels and delays flights, reflows crews and aircraft as necessary to achieve a high level of efficiency, economics, and passenger convenience
Maintains a constant awareness of weather, air traffic control, and other factors impacting flights in their region of operation
Communicates with the appropriate dispatcher regarding changes that affect the release of any flight
Communicates with flight crew and station personnel regarding changes to aircraft assignment
Develops contingency and recovery plans during irregular operations
Qualification
Required
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and shift work with possible early morning, late night or graveyard shifts
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to read, interpret, and apply aviation weather to the operation
This is a Department of Transportation Safety Sensitive position
This is NOT a remote position. All shifts are worked at the SkyWest Corporate Office in St. George, Utah. You must be willing to relocate at your expense
Preferred
FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, FAA Pilots License, or experience in an aviation related field preferred
6 months SkyWest OCC experience highly preferred
Experience in a supervisory or training role preferred
