The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Assistant Operations Project Manager for Wappapello Lake. This role involves managing human resources, technical activities, program schedules, fiscal accounting, and public relations for the operations and maintenance of project facilities and recreation areas.

Responsibilities
Collaborates with the Operation Manager in the preparation and/or planning of recreational facilities and programs that include approximately 300 campsites, primitive camping zone, 60 picnic sites, 26 launching ramps, 3 beaches, visitor center, 50 structures, and 73 hunter/fisherman areas
Directs surveillance of project lands and waters, oversees enforcement of applicable laws and regulations governing the use of these resources and protection of the visitors
Supervises approximately 25-40 subordinate GS and WG employees, performing as the first line supervisor
Serves as the principal action officer in the development, preparation and assembly of the lake facility's annual budget
Assist in the development and review of the long-range operational plan for the project that is incorporated into the master plan; and, recommends broad, conceptual objectives for the development and overall management of the project
Assists with preparation and implementation of flood and disaster notification plans

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes 1) Utilizing project management strategies in the creation and/or communication of annual work plans and budgets that develops and shares detailed schedules (timelines, milestones), and clear objectives for the team; 2) Demonstrating control and oversight over large outdoor parks or recreation sites, natural resource management, and/or flood control programs; 3) Proactively identifying, analyzing, and/or providing solutions to escalated technical or logistical challenges; and 4) Assisting first line supervisor with developing and mentoring of staff, assigning work, assisting with performance reviews, and/or administrations of personnel policies
