Intern - SCS Hedge Desk
StoneX Group Inc. is a Fortune 100 global financial services firm connecting clients to markets and opportunities. The Hedge Desk Summer Analyst internship offers hands-on exposure to commodities markets, where interns will support the development of proprietary trading initiatives through quantitative research, risk management, and trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Develop and enhance risk management, hedging, and analytics tools used by the Hedge Desk
Research, test, and optimize proprietary trading strategies across futures, options, and physical markets
Analyze physical and derivative hedges, monitoring market-making exposure against defined risk limits
Coordinate with traders to assess real-time PnL and support hedging decisions
Automate operational processes and workflows to improve desk efficiency
Shadowing other StoneX Commodity Solutions’ desks (eg. basis traders, RINS, Cocoa, Freight) and possibly other StoneX businesses
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Microsoft excel, other financial tools and programming languages
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to sharing ideas with the team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
Sound verbal/written communication abilities
Effective interpersonal skills

Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
The confidence to fail
Pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2026 and August 2027 (entering penultimate year of university)
Available for a June 2026 start date for an 8 – 10-week program
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel)
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
