Responsibilities
Hardening the System: Deep-dive into the reliability of our power systems and connectivity, ensuring our "secret sauce" remains insurmountable
End-to-End Design: Own the development of schematics, PCBs, housing, and cabling solutions for next-generation hardware
Manufacturing Evolution: Lead design iterations in CAD to improve the assembly yield and long-term serviceability of our devices
Hardware-Software Synthesis: Write the code that lives on the edge. You understand the friction between a sensor's physical limitations and the software's requirements
Qualification
Required
Experience in electrical engineering with a focus on reliability and hardware design
Ability to ensure roadside systems operate with 99.9% reliability in harsh environments
Experience in hardening systems, particularly in power systems and connectivity
Proficiency in end-to-end design, including schematics, PCBs, housing, and cabling solutions
Experience leading design iterations in CAD to improve assembly yield and serviceability
Ability to write code that integrates with hardware, understanding the limitations of sensors and software requirements
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
Willingness to take ownership and work extended hours when necessary
Preferred
Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, C++, and SQL
Experience with frameworks and tools such as NestJS, Node.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, React, and Sentry
Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Linux, and IoT Edge Devices
Experience in computer vision (OpenCV) and machine learning integration
Experience in payment processing systems
