Architect a greenfield technology platform from the ground up
Own a 56-patent AI healthcare portfolio
Scale a technology organization from ~100 engineers to 500–700
Conduct technical due diligence and integration across 50+ acquisitions
Develop the data flywheel architecture for Medicare enrollments
Position for FDA regulatory compliance and monitoring
Qualification
Required
15+ years in technology leadership, 5+ as CTO or VP Engineering at a high-growth healthcare or insurtech platform
Built and scaled a platform through a PE rollup, $1B+ valuation, or successful IPO
Deep hands-on AI/ML expertise — transformer architectures, NLP, clinical decision support, healthcare data standards (HL7 FHIR, ICD-10, CPT)
Scaled engineering teams of 200+ and managed $50M+ technology budgets
Healthcare M&A technology integration experience — due diligence, platform consolidation, data migration
Understanding of FDA SaMD pathways, CMS compliance, and AI governance in healthcare
Preferred
Former CTO/CIO at eHealth, GoHealth, SelectQuote, Agilon Health, Clover Health, Oscar Health, Devoted Health, GoodRx, Teladoc, or comparable platform
CTO through a PE-backed insurance or healthcare rollup (Acrisure, Hub International, Integrity Marketing, or similar scale)
FAANG healthcare division experience (Google Health, Microsoft/Nuance, Amazon/One Medical) with startup transition
Patent authorship on healthcare AI patents
Medicare AI expertise — HCC coding, Star Ratings, utilization management, care coordination
MS or PhD in Computer Science, ML, Biomedical Informatics, or related field
