Responsibilities
Lead and oversee core accounting operations (GL, AR, AP) within a centralized shared services model
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles; ensure timely, accurate, right-first-time reporting
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies/DOA
Review balance sheets, P&Ls, cash flow statements, reconciliations, accruals, and reserves
Act as primary point of contact for external auditors, delivering clean audits
Drive working-capital performance (DSO/DPO), billing accuracy, and collections effectiveness
Strengthen internal controls and process documentation with SOX-like rigor
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals; define and monitor SLAs
Partner with FP&A, operations, and senior leadership to deliver actionable financial insights
Drive standardization, automation, and ERP discipline across multiple entities
Qualification
Required
Active US CPA (required)
Fluent in both English and Spanish would be a very nice value add
Significant experience leading a shared services accounting function in a multi-entity environment
Deep technical accounting expertise in US GAAP and IFRS
Proven ownership of close, audits, controls, and process improvement
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across levels
Highly analytical, organized, and effective in fast-paced environments
Preferred
Experience in education, services, or similarly complex operating models
ERP optimization or transformation exposure
