The Information Technology Architect 1 (Enterprise) will design and oversee technical solutions that align with business needs and architectural standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions that address business requirements and align with architecture principles and standards. Develop solution architectures, technical specifications, and system designs
Design and manage solutions throughout the development lifecycle
Evaluate, identify, and develop technical solutions based on business requirements, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and usability
Lead evaluation projects and provide recommendations for technology adoption
Identify and document technical risks and propose mitigation strategies to address them
Plan, track, and schedule enterprise project deliverables
Collaborate with development teams to ensure that technical solutions are implemented according to design specifications

Required

Six (6) years of broad information technology (IT) experience, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of software coding and programming languages, and its application within large-scale organizations
Four (4) years of specialized experience in enterprise architecture, software development, or a related technical role

Preferred

Strong technical background with expertise in multiple technology domains, such as cloud computing, microservices architecture, databases, and integration technologies
Broad understanding of coding and programming languages, including SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, Scala, C/C++, Ruby, Rust, Go, COBOL, etc
Experience with database design and data modeling, utilizing tools such as Unified Modeling Language (ULM)
Extensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles
Expertise with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Squarespace, Joomla, Shopify, Adobe Experience Manager, etc
Good understanding of integration patterns and technologies, including but not limited to enterprise service bus (ESB) platforms and middleware solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand and address technical challenges
Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to technical solution design
Experience working in cross-functional teams and leading technical discussions and decision-making processes
