Development Associate

Liberty Christian School is seeking a Development Associate to support their fundraising and event planning efforts. The role involves coordinating logistics for events, managing donor stewardship, and collaborating with various departments to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
Education Management

Responsibilities

Coordinate all logistics for the annual Gala, including venue selection, vendor communication, entertainment, auctioneer, and event timelines
Manage event planning calendars, budgets, and internal deadlines from summer through post-event fulfillment
Oversee table sales, ticketing, sponsorship packages, pricing, and donor benefits
Coordinate entertainment, décor leadership, volunteer teams, and event-day logistics
Collaborate with the Communications Department on signage, printed materials, programs, table recognition, and video content
Manage silent and live auctions, including item solicitation, pricing, inventory, bidder packets, and event setup
Lead post-Gala fulfillment of auction items and donor experiences, ensuring timely and professional follow-through
Manage and maintain online auctions using OneCause, including setup, launch, monitoring, pricing adjustments, and close-out
Enter and organize auction items, class projects, and fixed-price experiences
Coordinate photography, descriptions, bid increments, and fulfillment logistics
Complete ongoing training through OneCause University and maintain platform accuracy
Serve as primary liaison with OneCause support and accounting
Support Warrior Club membership operations, including seat assignments, parking privileges, cushions, passes, and member benefits
Manage ticket access and seating for fine arts performances, athletic events, graduations, and special programs
Coordinate with CUR8 and internal teams for ticket codes, seat maps, refunds, and access controls
Maintain accurate Warrior Club records, seating charts, parking assignments, and benefit tracking
Coordinate donor recognition, seat labeling, signage, and event access for non-ticketed donor events
Track donor commitments, benefits, and fulfillment timelines
Manage follow-up and execution of donor experiences, special lunches, trips, and recognition items
Support stewardship of major donors and sponsor relationships
Work closely with Communications on emails, social media promotions, signage, programs, and timelines
Coordinate with faculty and staff regarding class projects, experiences, and event participation
Collaborate with Athletics, Fine Arts, and Administration on shared events and seating logistics
Maintain detailed spreadsheets, Google Forms, budgets, and inventory records
Manage storage organization and event materials
Track payments, credits, gift cards, and donor benefits in coordination with Finance
Assist with procurement, vendor coordination, and receipt management
Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy in all advancement-related work
Adhere to the Student Protection Policy (SPP) procedures and trainings

Required

Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage complex calendars and multiple events simultaneously

Experience in fundraising, development, events, or advancement
Familiarity with donor stewardship or nonprofit environments
Experience working in a school or faith-based organization
Ability to function well in an environment with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
Regularly use close and distance vision
May stand for extended periods of time
Works primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment
Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to work evenings and weekends during events and peak seasons
Willingness to be on-site for performances, events, and setup/teardown
Full-time, twelve-month position
