VTG is seeking a tester to join an established, high performing team supporting web-based applications. The role involves performing manual and automated testing, contributing to test planning and documentation, and collaborating with team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Responsibilities

Work with the team’s developers, DBAs, systems engineers, security engineers, program managers, and the other test team members on testing tasks assigned in Jira

Ensuring that all testing tasks assigned to them are thoroughly tested and documented in their assigned Jira tasks, and that their tasks (based on either manual or automated testing) are moved along in the Jira workflow

Contributing to test planning, test case design, and documentation

Participate in every-other-day scrum stand-ups where team members discuss the status of their assigned tasks

Participate in monthly retrospective sessions to discuss what they liked, what they learned, and what they lacked in the past month-long sprint

Required

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or the equivalent testing experience)

Qualifying testing experience of only between 3-5 years

Strong knowledge of manual testing (functional, exploratory, regression) of web-based applications

Strong knowledge of automated testing using Selenium

Experience in API testing

Basic knowledge of SQL

Strong problem-solving and analytic skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
