Start in 2026 SummerKiewit is a leading infrastructure engineering company that is seeking a Drainage Engineer Intern to join their Design Engineering Services Group. The intern will be involved in developing drainage design concepts and presentation exhibits, while also investigating alternate intersection concepts.

Responsibilities
Develop Water resources/drainage design concepts using AutoCAD
Develop presentation exhibits using AutoCAD
Investigate alternate intersection/interchange concepts
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree with a focus on hydraulics or hydrology courses
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
Good written and verbal communication skills
Coursework in transportation, and AutoCAD software
Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
Preferred
GPA above 3.0 preferred
