Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test software in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering prototype capabilities for proof-of-concept demonstrations
Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with team of engineers to analyze, implement, and test software modifications to the existing system baseline
Present plans, designs, and system performance to peers, and internal leadership
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using Java, Python, or C++
Experience with Message Broker applications, such as RabbitMQ
Experience with debugging tools for identifying and resolving software defects
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred
Advanced Degree in STEM
Knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency domain to include experience with XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs
Prior development experience with U.S. launcher systems
Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket, Artifactory, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira, and Confluence), Jenkins, GitLab, Eclipse, VS Code, and Ansible
Experience with Script languages (Bash, C shell, Perl)
Experience with Graphical User Interface development; experience with NodeJS, React, Angular, or other GUI applications
Experience working with SQL databases, such as MySQL or MariaDB
Experience in continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) environments and configuring pipelines
Knowledge of Red Hat and Linux operating systems
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working independently and in geographically distributed team environments
Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
