Technical writing, copy-editing and proof-reading Consultant for ASWA III and EU reporting, Programme Group, WASH Section, Remote - Req 590901
UNICEF is the world's leading children's rights organization, dedicated to making a lasting difference for children globally. They are seeking a Technical Writing, Copy-Editing and Proof-Reading Consultant to provide support in preparing annual reports for ASWA III and EU reporting, focusing on writing, editing, and proofreading key documents.

Responsibilities
Review each country annual report (2025, 2026 and 2027 (final)): in order to integrate reporting into the global report and summarise key achievements (country reports not submitted to the donor)
Review submissions by HQ teams (2025, 2026 and 2027 (final)): in order to integrate reporting into the global report and summarise key achievements (HQ/RO reports not submitted to the donor)
Produce initial draft of the narrative elements of donor reports 2025, 2026 and 2027 (final)): following discussion with UNICEF on core focus of report; whilst some sections will be completed by UNICEF (results framework and financial summary), drafting to be focused into areas of: Introduction and summary, Narratives in output areas, Challenges and mitigations, Risks and mitigation
Complete a copy-edit and proofread of the donor reports
Review of contributory reports (SWA and UNICEF teams/partners) (2025 and final report): extracting key points for EU Annual Report global narrative
Produce the first draft of agreed sections of the EU Annual Report for UNICEF review: following discussion with UNICEF on core content (excl. financial section and results framework)
Complete a copy-edit and proofread of the final report (2025 and final report)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree: University degree in journalism, communication, international relations, political or social sciences, or human rights, or comparable academic preparation
A minimum of five years of recent related professional experience in proofreading/writing of WASH technical documents/reports/proposals
Excellent English language skills
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and drive for results
Preferred
Previous exposure to reporting on ASWA/EU grants is desirable
Technical experience of the WASH sector is an asset
Previous working experience with the United Nations and/or an international organization is an asset
