Datacenter Operations Manager
Techify Care is a company focused on data center operations, and they are seeking a Datacenter Operations Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The role involves executing standard data center tasks, supporting various activities, and maintaining accurate documentation while escalating complex issues to higher-level engineers.
Responsibilities
Execute rack/stack activities for servers, storage, and network devices
Maintain structured cabling standards and label hygiene
Perform routine IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Decommission) tasks under L3 guidance
Assist in RMA handling and coordinate with vendors for spares and replacements
Conduct environmental checks for power, cooling, and space availability
Perform regular visual inspections of racks, cages, and equipment
Update DCIM records accurately for all assigned assets and equipment
Provide hands-and-eyes support including power cycles, console access, media swaps
Assist in cable connection and removal for planned changes
Escort vendors and third parties within the data center
Support change windows and respond to emergency incidents under L3 escalation
Conduct asset inventory checks and reconcile racks/cages
Ensure compliance with data center operational standards and safety procedures
Maintain and update SOPs, runbooks, and port/topology maps
Record all incidents, changes, and problems in the client’s ITSM system
Escalate unresolved issues or critical incidents to L3
Qualification
Required

Solid understanding of data center hardware, servers, storage, and networking
Hands-on experience with rack/cabling, IMACD, and DCIM tools
Familiarity with power and cooling systems
Ability to follow ITSM processes and maintain accurate documentation
Good communication, troubleshooting, and coordination skills
Comfortable working in 24×7 operational environments
Preferred
CDCP / CDCS / ITIL Foundation certifications are a plus
