Network Operations Center Engineer

TGS International Group is a global telecoms infrastructure provider expanding its subsea network operations in Denver. They are seeking an experienced 2nd Line Subsea Cable NOC Engineer to monitor and support complex terrestrial and subsea DWDM transmission networks, ensuring high availability of critical submarine cable systems.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and supporting complex terrestrial and subsea DWDM transmission networks
Leading response to network alarms and performance degradation events
Performing proactive trend and performance analysis to prevent faults before they impact service
Troubleshooting optical transmission issues across multi-vendor environments
Supporting subsea infrastructure including repeaters, branching units, ROADMs and equalisers
Coordinating remote hands, repair logistics, spare parts and RMA processes
Escalating appropriately to Principal Engineers and vendors when required
Validating system performance post-repair to ensure full service restoration
Managing and documenting incidents, RCA reports and MoPs
Maintaining strict SLA performance standards in a 24/7 operational setting

Required

Strong experience in OA&M of subsea and terrestrial cable systems
Extensive DWDM optical transmission troubleshooting experience
Hands-on experience with NMS platforms and multi-vendor environments (Ciena, ASN, SubCom, NEC, Infinera, etc.)
Understanding of subsea components including repeaters, WSS ROADMs and branching units
Experience working with DCN networks, routers, switches and firewalls
Experience using ticketing systems (Salesforce preferred but not essential)
Comfortable working rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
Strong communication skills and ability to handle high-impact incidents
US work authorization required

Experience using ticketing systems (Salesforce preferred but not essential)
Multilingual capability (Spanish, French or Asian languages) is advantageous but not essential
