The role involves working under the supervision of a lead technician to assist with cabling and wiring, as well as reading blueprints to determine cable runs.

Responsibilities

Installing programming and servicing commercial electronic security devices primarily CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems and overall security systems

Assisting with running wiring and cabling across the site

Reading blueprints and site drawing to determine the cable runs

Performing cable runs, dressing cable and terminating

Experience with structured cabling projects, network data cable runs

Terminating with RJ45 and crimpers, terminating into data closet, terminating into data outlets

Wiring devices such as wireless access points
