Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks, and supporting technologies
Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions
Optimise queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency
Apply CI/CD and observability practices to improve reliability and performance
Ensure data security and compliance with governance standards
Support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and assist with root cause analysis
Carry out other duties as assigned

Required

Hands-on experience in data engineering and pipeline development using Snowflake and/or Databricks
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and optimisation on cloud-based platforms
Strong Python skills for data processing and automation
Basic understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices
Familiarity with job orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Autosys)
Good communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Certifications in Snowflake or Databricks
Experience with dbt Core/Cloud for transformation and testing
Awareness of Data Mesh principles
Exposure to Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps)
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and lineage tools
