Responsibilities
Design and develop transmission using NX
Evaluate and benchmark CVT, dual clutch, and torque converter automatic transmission technologies for automotive and 4‑wheel drive applications
Develop objective performance metrics (shift quality, response time, efficiency, drivability) and correlate them with subjective ride and shift feel
Create and execute test plans for technology evaluations, including test conditions, instrumentation, measurement points, and data analysis
Support customer in reviewing and validating transmission solutions offered by suppliers, ensuring they meet defined performance targets
Analyze transmission data, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in calibration, hardware, or control strategies
Collaborate with vehicle integration, powertrain, and dynamics teams to ensure the transmission system delivers the desired performance, durability, and user experience
Document evaluation processes and contribute to customer’s transmission development guidelines
