Responsibilities

Communicate the full breadth of SEH’s multidisciplinary services to prospective and existing clients in a clear, compelling, and consultative manner
Build and sustain strategic relationships with key target clients while generating and securing new business opportunities
Develop, maintain, and execute proactive client strategy plans that align with regional and firmwide priorities
Support the creation and implementation of regional strategic sales and growth plans
Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities and consistently achieve annual new business targets
Serve as a responsive partner to SEH clients and internal teams by addressing inquiries and identifying solutions to community and economic development needs
Guide clients through needs assessment processes and support the administration of successfully funded projects
Participate in client meetings and provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to support informed decision-making
Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including state and federal agencies, local governments, technical professionals, residents, and community groups
Prepare high-quality project proposals that fully comply with agency requirements and position SEH competitively for selection
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with government officials and representatives from state and federal agencies

Required

Demonstrated experience working with local, state, and federal government agencies
Proven success in solving community issues as well
Deep understanding of how to successfully implement community and economic activities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling

Preferred

Experience working with communities and businesses in the greater central Virginia area
Planning level understanding about municipal infrastructure
