Responsibilities
Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Execute upgrades and migrations of Microsoft SQL Server from older versions to modern platforms such as SQL Server 2022/2025
Optimize and maintain Azure SQL Database environments, including Database as a Service
Support data migration activities related to Oracle Fusion implementation
Develop and refine T-SQL scripts to enhance performance, reporting, and system integration
Provide ongoing support for internally developed applications and ensure seamless data flow for downstream consumers
Collaborate closely with teams focused on application development, business intelligence, and system integrations
Communicate effectively across departments, demonstrating ownership and accountability in managing database systems
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration
Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization
Hands-on expertise in SQL Server upgrades and migration processes
Familiarity with Azure SQL Database environments and cloud-based database solutions
Proven ability to support internally developed applications and maintain system stability
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Knowledge of regulated industries, such as healthcare, is a plus
Preferred
Experience with Oracle environments or migrations is preferred
