Business Data Analyst III

The Business Data Analyst III role involves converting enterprise data into actionable insights to support decision-making, partnering with leadership to develop analytics and reporting solutions while ensuring data quality and visualization.

Responsibilities
Collect, integrate, and maintain data from internal and external systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability
Establish and uphold data quality standards, validation controls, and governance practices
Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and metadata
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities across sales, marketing, operations, and finance
Apply appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate business performance and initiative effectiveness
Translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights
Support the design and evolution of a centralized reporting or data warehouse environment
Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
Partner with IT to optimize system integrations, data access, and performance
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Excel
Build and optimize data models, calculations, and transformations to support scalable reporting
Present insights to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner
Develop and maintain scorecards, KPIs, and performance dashboards
Provide data and analysis to support meetings, quarterly planning, and annual strategy sessions
Translate organizational goals and objectives into measurable outcomes and reporting structures
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization
Gather and document business requirements to identify process and performance improvement opportunities
Provide training and support to enhance data literacy, adoption, and effective use of reporting tools
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in SQL, database management, and data extraction
Experience with Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools
Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 productivity applications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related field
5+ years of experience in data analysis, BI development, or similar roles
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods
Preferred
Manufacturing or consumer goods industry experience preferred
