2+ years expMedilinkers LLC is hiring for its partner a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This role focuses on the design of special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with standards and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities
Design life safety and asset protection systems, including special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems, using AutoCAD and proprietary design software
Ensure compliance with local, national, and manufacturer standards
Conduct job site surveys to validate system design and installation accuracy
Review and implement customer-provided project specifications
Coordinate with and direct contractors on system installation and operation
Attend manufacturer training and continuing education programs
Create project-specific operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals
Update and maintain existing design drawings
Support office staff with engineering and process improvement tasks
Assist with system inspections, startups, and commissioning as needed
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in the Fire Protection industry (required)
Hands-on experience as a Fire Suppression / Fire Protection Design Engineer
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting
Working knowledge of 3D design software
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Ability to clearly communicate technical information
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification
Design experience in special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems
AutoCAD 2D & 3D
Candidates with sprinkler-only (water-based) design experience will not be a fit
Preferred
