Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems using Dell EMC Isilon and NetApp ONTAP platforms
Support hybrid cloud storage architectures integrating on-prem and cloud-based storage solutions (AWS, Azure)
Configure and maintain NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, and object storage protocols across multi-site environments
Implement and manage data replication, snapshot, tiering, and backup strategies across storage platforms
Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and availability using tools such as NetApp Active IQ, Isilon InsightIQ, and Cloud Insights
Automate storage provisioning and reporting using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure storage solutions align with business and performance requirements
Ensure storage environments meet security and compliance standards, including encryption at rest/in transit, access controls, and audit logging
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues across development, staging, and production environments
Document storage architecture, operational procedures, and best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering, with a strong focus on Dell EMC Isilon and NetApp
Deep expertise in: Isilon OneFS, SmartPools, SmartConnect, SyncIQ, SnapshotIQ
NetApp ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault, FlexGroup, FabricPool
Experience with hybrid cloud storage integration using AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage
Proficiency in storage automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, REST APIs)
Familiarity with cloud-native storage services (e.g., AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Azure NetApp Files)
Strong understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Experience with storage monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning
Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik) and their integration with storage platforms
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Dell EMC Proven Professional) are a plus
Required to be part of a rotational on-call support schedule
Preferred
Experience with software-defined storage (SDS) and hyper-converged infrastructure (e.g., VMware vSAN, Nutanix)
Familiarity with Kubernetes persistent storage (e.g., NetApp Trident, CSI drivers)
Exposure to multi-cloud storage strategies and data fabric architectures
Knowledge of data lifecycle management, archival, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Experience with storage networking (FC, iSCSI, Ethernet) and SAN/NAS architectures
