IT Support Specialist
STAND 8 Technology Consulting provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States. They are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide onsite L2 technical support for a corporate TV production office, focusing primarily on workstation installation and technical support for users.

Responsibilities
Set up and configure workstation environments for end users, including Windows PCs, occasional macOS devices, dual monitors on arms, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and general desktop accessories
Connect and configure common desktop A/V peripherals such as basic external speakers, USB microphones, or small desktop audio devices when needed for user workstation setups
Assist with the installation and connection of networked copiers and printers, including identifying device IP addresses, ensuring proper network connectivity, and submitting IP reservation requests
Perform workstation setups and moves, cable management, and desk reconfigurations across the office
Troubleshoot basic LAN, WAN, and WiFi issues and coordinate with networking teams for more complex matters
Provide responsive, customer‑focused L2 support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Help ensure all workstations are deployed according to internal standards, security guidelines, and configuration requirements
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience providing desktop or L2 support in Windows environments, with some exposure to macOS
Experience setting up and supporting workstations, including monitors, monitor arms, docking stations, and standard peripherals
Basic familiarity with desktop A/V peripherals such as external speakers or simple USB-connected audio devices
Experience connecting and supporting networked copiers and printers, including IP identification and network connectivity
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN/WiFi fundamentals and basic troubleshooting workflows
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Stamford, CT
Strong customer service and communication skills, with a reliable and organized work style
Comfortable performing hands-on tasks such as lifting equipment, routing cables, and assembling workstation hardware
Preferred
Experience supporting workstations and users in corporate or media production office environments
Exposure to IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+
