Responsibilities
Conduct analysis and design of onshore building and non-building structures using structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000
Perform design review of engineering packages prepared by contractors in support of ongoing projects to ensure compliance with the Company’s engineering requirements and optimize design
Develop, maintain, and interpret the company’s engineering standards and specifications related to onshore structures discipline
Conduct vendor technical assessments for structural steel fabricators and similar commodities
Conduct site structural condition assessments of existing structures and provide rehabilitation solutions
Support ongoing Innovation/Technology programs and strategic initiatives
Assess and adopt new and emerging technologies for civil/structural applications
Act as a professional mentor to developing structural engineers and specialists
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required
Professional Engineering or Chartered Engineering Certification or equivalent
15+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in the energy sector
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, AISC or similar
Proficient in structural engineering analysis and design software and tools
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills
Understanding and experience in advanced topics such as dynamic analysis, blast resistant design, seismic design
Abreast of latest technologies, materials and construction methods pertaining to structural engineering
Preferred
Master's Degree is preferred
