Responsibilities
Create Technical Drawings: Develop precise shop drawings for fabrication (showing dimensions, welds, and hole locations) and erection plans for field installation
Modeling: Build detailed digital models of steel structures using industry-standard software
Coordinate and Track: progress of projects from start to final production
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all designs follow engineered company standards
Material Management: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) , bolt lists, and material take-offs to guide procurement and shop workflows
Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and fabrication shop leads to resolve design conflicts (clash detection) and manage Requests for Information
Qualification
Required
Associate (Required)
steel CAD : 2 years (Required)
Preferred
Experience with drafting/design of pre-engineered metal buildings preferred
Tekla a plus but not required
