Responsibilities
Serve as a technical and quality partner for assigned suppliers
Conduct supplier assessments and audits focused on quality, logistics, cost, and manufacturing performance
Lead and support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities
Review and validate key quality documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Gage R&R
Monitor supplier readiness, capacity, and compliance with process controls
Support new supplier qualification and certification efforts
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles
Review and approve corrective action plans (8D) and support root cause analysis
Partner with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams on product launches and process improvements
Track and analyze supplier performance metrics and lead improvement plans
Support change management through process change notifications and compliance monitoring
Evaluate and certify suppliers based on defined quality and performance standards
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on quality initiatives
Participate in supplier performance reviews and improvement programs
Support new product introductions and engineering changes
Conduct on-site and virtual supplier assessments
Analyze data and prepare reports on supplier performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
5–7 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or engineering
Strong background in supplier development and quality systems
Experience with APQP, PPAP, and process controls
Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methods
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Experience with quality management systems (EtQ or similar)
Preferred
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with procurement systems and capacity planning
Familiarity with RCCP and production planning tools
