Strong modern C++ (C++17/20) in production, performance-critical environments

Deep understanding of Linux internals and performance tooling

Concurrency expertise: threading, atomics, memory ordering, lock-free patterns

Proven ability to diagnose performance issues with profiling/observability tools

Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, systems design

Experience in low-latency trading/HFT, market microstructure, exchange connectivity

Network performance: TCP/UDP tuning, kernel bypass (Solarflare/Onload, DPDK)

CPU affinity, NUMA, huge pages, cache optimisation, RDTSCP/TSC timing

Familiarity with FIX/ITCH/OUC, multicast market data, FPGA interaction
