Mid LevelGlobal IT Solutions, Inc is seeking a strong Python-focused Cloud Engineer to support a high-impact AWS modernization initiative. This role will focus on backend/API development, cloud automation, and AWS infrastructure to rebuild and modernize pipelines and migrate existing services to a more scalable architecture.

Responsibilities
Design and develop backend services using Python with a strong focus on APIs and automation
Build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting scalable cloud services
Support infrastructure deployments transitioning from Terraform to AWS CloudFormation
Containerize services using Docker and deploy workloads on AWS ECS clusters
Configure and manage ECS task definitions, services, and service-level alerts
Work with Application Load Balancers and Network Load Balancers
Migrate existing Node.js services to Python-based implementations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, security, and operational readiness
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Python (backend/API development + automation)
Solid experience working in AWS environments
Experience with ECS clusters, task/services, and containerized deployments
Understanding of load balancers and networking concepts in AWS
Experience working in an enterprise environment
Preferred
AWS CloudFormation
Node.js (especially for migration work)
Security experience (WAF, infrastructure security concepts)
