Responsibilities

Perform cutting-edge research
Analyze experimental data
Develop models
Run simulations
Research in the following topic areas: molten salt power cycles and concentrating solar
Advanced reactors such as supercritical CO2 power cycles
Hypersonic flows, shock tubes, cavity flows, wind tunnel testing, CFD simulations
Combustion and flame science, multiphase reacting flows, spray and aerosols, optical diagnostics
Aerospace experiments including particle image velocimetry, remote atmospheric sensing, and optical diagnostics
Proliferation detection and remote sensing

Required

Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited undergraduate program
Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S

Preferred

Currently attending and enrolled full time or scheduled to graduate in the Spring of 2026 from one of the following PARTNERS universities: University of Central Florida, Florida A&M University, or University of California Irvine
Data analysis and programming experience in MATLAB or Python
Modeling, simulation, and/or experimental research experience
Research presentation at technical conferences
Research publications in technical journals
