Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the EMC laboratory, including scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocation
Provide technical leadership for EMC testing to MIL-STD-461 and RTCA/DO-160
Act as the technical authority on EMC test methods, troubleshooting, and compliance strategies
Support internal teams and customers through test planning, execution, and reporting
Review and approve EMC test procedures, data, and final reports
Maintain lab readiness, calibration schedules, and compliance with quality and safety standards
Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and program teams to support project delivery
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on EMC testing experience to MIL-STD-461 and RTCA/DO-160 (this is essential)
Background as a senior EMC engineer, test engineer, or technical lead
Experience working in an EMC lab environment (aerospace, defense, or avionics preferred)
Desire and aptitude to step into a lab management / leadership role
Solid understanding of EMC test equipment, instrumentation, and lab best practices
Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders
