Responsibilities
Create, modify, and deactivate SAP user accounts across ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, or related SAP environments
Maintain roles and authorizations in line with business requirements and security best practices
Troubleshoot access issues, role conflicts, and authorization-related errors
Monitor user activity and perform regular access reviews
Implement and maintain SAP security controls (SoD, least privilege, privileged access)
Enforce compliance frameworks such as SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, or internal audit requirements
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and remediation actions
Perform periodic segregation‑of‑duties analysis and resolve violations with business stakeholders
Maintain SAP security policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation
Participate in change management processes for new roles, profiles, and system enhancements
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure security is embedded into project designs
Support SAP patching, upgrades, and system migrations as they relate to security
Utilize GRC tools (SAP GRC, Access Control, ARA, ARM, BRM, EAM, etc.) to manage risks and access workflow
Identify security gaps and propose improvements to strengthen SAP landscape integrity
Monitor system logs, alerts, and audit trails for potential security incidents
Qualification
Required
2–5+ years of experience in SAP support, SAP security, or SAP user administration
Hands-on experience with SAP roles, profiles, transactions, authorization objects, and user provisioning
Familiarity with SAP GRC Access Control or similar governance tools
Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, ISO, NIST) and general IT controls
Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience with S/4HANA security concepts
Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) or directory services (e.g., Active Directory)
Exposure to audit and risk management processes
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, auditors, and business stakeholders
